Bon Voyage!

Well, Gramma and Grampa should be sailing the open seas right about now! Kennedy, Karson, Jeremy and Hollie bought them a 5 day cruise for Christmas! A small gesture considering how much they watch them!

If you get a chance to read this Gramma and Grampa, we hope you are having a wonderful time. Enjoy all there is to do and relax, relax, relax, you definitley deserve it!

Oh and by the way, don't stand to close to the edge, we really want you to come home to us!

A Few Things about Kennedy

-She is a very sassy 4 year old!

-She loves to play with her babies, more so than with anything else!

-She has really large feet too!

-She loves to sing church songs!

-She thinks she is the boss!

-She has an outstanding sense of fashion (I sure hope she learns to match)!

-She would wear flip flops every day if you'd let her!

A Few Things about Karson

-He currently has 8 teeth and 2 molars are almost here and he has the cutest smile!

-He finally graduated from army crawling to crawling like a real baby!

-He is very close to walking and has taken a few steps between furniture!

-He thinks he needs to eat anytime anyone else has food!

-He likes to sleep a lot!

-He thinks the phone and the remote control are HIS personal property and doesn't like if anyone else has them!

-He has old man hair, but it is slowly filling in!

-He has really large feet, like a size 6!

Go Bears!

Kevin, me, Scott and Amber had a quick weekend trip to Houston to watch the Bears play. We had tickets in the Miller Lite skybox, so we had great seats! Even though they lost we still had a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday Big Girl!

Wow, to think that you are already 4 years old! Before we know it you will be leaving for college!

What a year that you have had! You went from being our only child to an incredibile big sister. Karson sure loves you "sissy"! Although you guys already have your moments of sibling spats, he thinks that you hung the moon. He would play in your bedroom all day if you'd let him, wants to eat everything that you are eating, and has the biggest smile on his face when you wake him up from his nap! Watching you share your popsicle with him, when you think we're not watching, just melts my heart! We're so proud of the big sister that you have turned out to be!

Happy Birthday!

Welcome Baby Jeremy

Our super cute new nephew Jeremy Alan Bearden was born on October 13!
Welcome to the family little man, I can't wait to watch you and Karson grow up together!
If you guys are anything like Kennedy and Hollie, we are all in for big trouble!!!

Chicago

We got to go visit all of the family in Chicago for cousin Jen's wedding at the end of October and we had a great trip. The whole South Texas family flew up and we enjoyed a great week visiting with everyone that we don't see often enough! The first day we were there the kids got to experience a whole 15 minutes of blizzard like snow that was beautiful! They thought it was really cool for about 5 minutes and then they decided it was too cold to be outside!

Halloween was fun to experience in a place where fall really is a season!

We had a fantastic time at Jen's wedding, it was an amazing event! Kennedy was a dancing machine and Karson slept through most of it! Luckily Aunt Jaime flew up to help take care of the kids so mom and dad could have some fun!

Hurricane Dolly

We had our first direct hit from a hurricane in several years this past July! We had a sleepover at Gramma and Grampa's which was fun the first night! We stayed up playing cards waiting for the storm to blow in. The next morning it finally arrived and it was impressive! The wind blew harder than I've ever experienced and it rained for a straight 18+ hours! We lost power shortly after the storm began and then life became miserable. Three days of no electricity, no air conditioning in 90 degree weather, no hot showers, no tv, and a very grumpy, colicky, sticky baby to care for! I felt like I was homeless. Me and my children bounced from friend to friend (they had regained power) just to have a few hours of air conditioning for naps. Although we are very thankful that there were no injuries, it literally was the 3 most miserable days of my life! We definitely take modern conveniences for granted!

Boog-a-dee Boo's did not fare so well. We figured that a tornado had to have hit that area because the entire roof was peeled off and it was a downpour inside the bar. Thanks goodness for insurance. We sustained approximately $100,000 worth of damage and it took weeks to get a roofer in to fix the roof. Needless to say, it kept raining inside until it was fixed. Then the demolition and remodeling began of the inside. If I do say so myself, it turned out beautiful!!!
